I swear that I thought for all day that today was March 4th..

You see, when I got promoted on Thursday, the paperwork said the 1st.. and well, that was my last day of the week in the office, so it sorta felt like a Friday to me.. so I thought 1st.. Friday.. 1st.. Friday..

You'd think my watch would set me straight.. Well, no. You see, it's a cheap TIMEX watch that doesn't ask for the year, so it automatically assumes leap year.. So, when I tell the tailor that today's the 4th, I look at my watch for verification.. and well, it makes sense to me.. until I look at the receipt of the new PFC rank I bought for my uniforms.. and it says today's date is the 5th.

"It can't be!" my mind thinks.. I got promoted at the end of las--oh no, I didn't.. it only FELT like a Friday!

It was just weird, the combo of me being on a field assignment on Friday so I didn't think it was March 2nd, and I associated my promotion with the last day of the week, and then my watch confirmed my error... but it was completely wrong for a different but oddly coincidental reason... :)
